Clay Necklaces

With this project it was one of the first lessons that were taught by two of my classmates. In this project we were taught about clay. What we had to do for this project was to create five beads useing the clay that was given to us. The rest of the class was told that after the beads were dry we had to paint them. One of the restrictions was that we had to use atleast 3 different colors.
I decided that I didnt want to creat just round beads, I wanted to make swirl beads, and thats what I did. Also if we wanted, we could create more than 5 beads if we so choose. In total I made 9 beads.
The point of this lesson was to leatn about how to use clay. How to shape, swist, and a few vocab terms as well. The group that prsented this project did a fantastic job, there lesson was more towards 1st graders and they did a great job breaking it down in simple terms for 1st graders to understand.
